Biography for Gary F. Egan Director of Business Development American Detection Technologies, Inc. ( AMDETECH)
American Detection Technologies, Inc., Director of Business Development has over 30 years experience in the Criminal Justice field. He began his career as a Massachusetts State Police Officer rising to the rank of Senior Criminalist for the Department of Public Safety. In that capacity he trained several thousand local and state police officers in the field of scientific criminal investigation. He later became the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council, charged with the mandated training of all police, courts, probation, corrections, juvenile justice, parole and county correctional personnel in the Commonwealth. This number of twenty thousand personnel annually was committed to basic, in-service, specialized and management programs. Recognizing the needs of the field, he oversaw, along with many professionals, the need to standardize K-9 standards on a statewide basis. He has testified in Federal and State courts as an expert witness on a number of training issues. Massachusetts was the first state in the nation to adopt statewide standards for the operation of K-9 teams. Many states were to follow that lead.
